We have some work going on with IDNR but my chances to get to the field to check on how the update work is going is pretty limited these days. Less than 3 years until retirement now!

Hi Doug. Certainly I remember you! I saw on this site that you are Chief of wildlife for Iowa DNR. My first trip as a wildlife biologist with the Fish and Wildlife Service (in 1977 when stationed at Fort Snelling, Minneapolis) was to northern Iowa to meet with Ron Bishop on starting a wetland acquisition program in northern Iowa. My supervisor and I were responsible for the first of very few FWS acquisitions of pothole wetlands in Paul Errington's old stomping grounds.
