Does anyone know if Mr. Nohl is still alive? I remember when Shelley Louis and I were freshmen, and our older sisters, (Julie & Brenda), were seniors, we used to go up to the vent in the door and yell "Sparrow!" real loud.......that was Mr. Nohl's nickname. He would come walking real fast over to the door and open it to see who it was, and Shelley and I would quick run to the other side of the room, (which also had a vented door), and yell "Sparrow" again. Needless to say, by the time he reached that door we were long gone. He did kind of look like a sparrow.....sharp nose kind of like a beak, and those glasses hanging on them. I remember he was an excellent English teacher, though.
