Posted by IN.DO.GU.TSU on 8/24/2007, 10:20 am Waitohooru and other FF6A players: What were your impressions of the game, particularly its gameplay additions, bonus dungeons, etc.? I'm not far enough yet, but I think the game could have benefited greatly from a town or some shops inside the bonus dungeon, like the GBA versions of FF1 and FF4 had. Otherwise, all the money you get towards the end of the game is put to no good use! (Also, two of the three new spells aren't practical in the least.) But other than that, I love the new translation, and how it clarifies some parts of Woolsey's script that weren't explained very well (like how the "Scimitar" and Odin's "Atom Edge" are one in the same).
Apparently the longtime Brasington supporter Waitohooru is involved with the Final Fantasy VI Advance fandom, because his name was mentioned in the credits of the Soul Shrine walkthrough on GameFAQs.com. I was pleasantly surprised to see this, as I'm playing FF6A right now (building my team in the second world for the showdown against the Big K himself).
