That's pretty much the size of it. Once you get to the other side, you begin to realize the grass *is* no greener...

Yeah, I know they're technically different in some subtle ways (FF2 US has no programmers' room, for instance), but it's easier just to consider them the same game for all intents and purposes. The point being, 95% of the enigmatic "cut content" of the original SNES US release was completely worthless, meaning ultimately, we never really *missed* it.

...err, well, I'll likely buy *one* copy. While it doesn't sound like it'd "rock my world" or "change the way I look at RPGs forever" or anything melodramatic like that, it seems like an interesting enough game... At the least, 8 was a nice step towards the future for a series that seemed to pride itself on being perpetually outdated...
