Who ever said the idiot who fell into the manhole DIED?
I never did. The person did not die, she merely lost her shoes.
Perhaps you are confusing this with the story about the kid in NYC that fell into an open grate and landed on top of a bunch of glass? That isn't even funny...that was a little kid.
No, the manhole-falling grown woman....sorry, THAT's funny.
and if The Guardian Legend was so popular...then why doesn't Nintendo make a version of it for the DS or something, so I could play it again?
What really pisses me off is the way Nintendo seems to REFUSE to cater to the old-schoolers like me out there.
We got money burning holes in our pockets and WILL spend it, too, if we are given the kinds of games WE want.
We are NOT going to spend our money on new-fangled, over-hyped, celebrity/movie-themed CRAP.
The ghostbusters game being an exception, because at LEAST that is based off a movie from MY generation...meaning it is actually a good movie.

: Yes, but outside of the obscure/cult-gamer
: circles...it is almost unheard of. And just
: you TRY to find a copy of it anywhere, good
: luck!!
:
: Actually, when I first learned about the
: game in college, it wasn't from anyone in
: the "obscure/cult-gamer circles. Also,
: a quick search of EBay turned up 50 hits
: for "The Guardian Legend". Perhaps
: it's hard to find in brick-and-mortar
: stores, but honestly, I'm not aware of any
: save a few specialized shops which even
: carry NES games.
:
: A game having fifty active auctions instead
: of 1000 active ebay auctions hardly
: qualifies it as "impossible to
: find".
:
:
: And the point I was making re: the
: manhole...is the fact that it never could
: happen to anyone except a loser-assed
: Generation Y dumbass.
:
: I'm not even sure where to start with this.
: Are you really trying to suggest that nobody
: died in a tragic but avoidable way before
: 1990?
