Some of the regulars here might be interested to know that Mystic Ark (the sequel to The 7th Saga) has been translated over at AGTP.
(some poking around when this was released indicates to me that there may have been another, earlier translation, so maybe this is old news?)
Anyway, I've been playing it for the last couple days- it's fun but pretty straightforward. It doesn't look quite as nice as I remember the 7th Saga looking, sadly, but part of that may be that I last played The 7th Saga years ago on a real SNES and an actual TV, so it benefitted from the poor man's antialiasing.
So far (I'm on the second world of seven), it seems to be a sequel mostly in the Final Fantasy sense- there isn't any connection to The 7th Saga beyond some thematic similarities and some reused enemy sprites. There is a Tetujin named Lux in it, but it's not clear whether it's the Lux or just a random character.
It's still fun, but I'm very glad that I'm playing this game with fast-forward.
