Just keep in mind that the difference between an article and a message room post is that the former is edited by one or two other professionals, and probably worked on for several days. Rewritten and reworked. Polished and refined.
Message room posts are usually rough drafts, first drafts, written quickly and just sent. For that reason, I never hold people's feet to the fire in THIS medium. It's just not the same as a published article.
You dnd't have to insult me but like so many, you take joy in insults. COurse the guy who wrote the message to which you respnded is the author of the dumbest post in a month, other than many of Jimbo's petty, defensive shots.
And of course Jimbo went easy on him because any enemy of rman's is a friend of Jimbos.
Isn't this all interesting? Far more interesting than anything on the radio today. And so like what we see in politics. People always side with those who write to their preconceived notions.
Like Obama. He's a very smart guy, but talk show hosts are paid to discredit him at every turn. So they turn phrases, twist meanings, etc so they can make the guy look foolish.
As opposed to Rush who does write a great deal of stupidity...if only because he writes too much and leaves himself so open.
By contrast, Buckley, Will, Buchanan... they all say many of the same things but say them more thoughtfully. IN their cases, succinct is definately better. I find it interesting, but also expected, that others you respect can say the same things I do, but you'll agree with them, or at least not diss them.
But you do with me, because you've made up your mind about me. LIke the kid did about anybody who writes longer than 60 seconds worth of copy.
We should be mindful that most of the posters in type too much and say too little of substance. ANd then they bittch about those who say more. Go figure.
But this is a pretty funny thread tho I expect it will be hijacked any minute now by you know who.
