Granted.
However, it has not been proven that Hasan was the author of those internet postings...obviously if it was confirmed that he was, steps would have been taken to prevent this tragedy.
Now obviously, the guy has serious mental issues. And sure, it is possible that he may have been motivated by radical Muslim fringe groups or beliefs.
But the problem (if I really must spell it out for you) is this: every time something like this happens, KMBZ and their viewers automatically assume that:
a)such violence is necessarily committed by muslims,
b) that it is inspired by qur'anic teachings
c) that the muslims are doing this to us only "because they hate our freedom"
It is much easier for Darla Jaye, Scott Parks, Mike Shanin, or the guy who reads the AP story for the 12 second mini-headline in the bottom of the hour newscast to make these assumptions than it is for you to consider any amount of critical thinking.
KMBZ has no room for complexity or serious analysis, but somehow it has more than enough time for the illogical rants of sheltered midwestern idiots who rely on talk radio hosts to do their thinking for them.
