I don't you understand the basics of chatting and blogging. People talk about what they know about. that means FIRST PERSON.
I think it's presumptuous to lecture people on truth unless one is very very expert. Hence Im very comfortable speaking first person, telling MY experience, which is often anectdotal.
You're really into this hostility, insulting scene but that's your thing, not mine.
I write what my experience and views tell me might be worth sharing. If you're not interested in what I say, I'm not sure that I require a rebuttal from you on every message.
In fact, your personal observations aren't particularly helpful unless you can direct them to what I say, not who I am, or how smart or dumb you think I am.
If you disagree with me, kew. Say why. Im an open minded guy and willing to change my views. but not if all you have to offer is an insult designed to make you feel better about yourSELF!
Like I said earlier, I think youre being petty enough that you're hurting your Thompson brand. I'd suggest that people who would cheerlead you for dissing RMAN probably aren't really players anyway. Most poeple who DISS me, aren't very impressive.
I'd think you were going after a more sophisticated audience. But that's up to you, Jimbo. You know who you're trying to impress.

I'm just so amazed at what motivates you. It's like you need to be on top in here and anyone who threatens your sense of superiority, you have to jump.
I think that's fairly insecure. Me I learned so long ago that anybody has knowledge to offer and its a bad idea to discourage poeple from sharing what they know. Maybe I already know what they know...but maybe I don't!
Smug people tend to shut down others who might have soemthing to offer. You're such a person. Journalists don't do that, but that's not your background. Journalists ask open ended questions... have the INPUT FAUCET open.
Guys like you are always trying to sell yourself and what expertise you already have. NP. It's how you earn your living.
Me, I'm more interested in learning. I don't have an agenda. If you know stuff, I wanna know what you know.
It would be really good if you'd not try to judge me based on YOUR values. Our values aren't the same. And there isn't anybody that would suggest that yours are better than mine, or mine are better than yours.
You should do what I do. Write more first person. Try not to pontificate. Just say what YOU think...and then wait and see who agrees and who might want to teach you something you haven't considered.
I'd sure respect you more if you did that. Otherwise, well youre just putting out the same ground clutter you are criticizing ME for.
Remember the phrase, "Pot calling the kettle black?" It wouldn't hurt if you'd use that phrase to test your messages before you press "POST".
