Hi Guys - I am from the Uk but took my vette to NZ with me. The laws and legislation governing imported cars are just mind blowing. In the UK my vette was competely legal ... I restored it from a wreck and knew that there was a good deal of work to do, but it was all pretty much completed nice n shiney inside and out .... well that is what I thought until I took it to a compliene enginneer for sign off.... he basically tor it to bit and concluded that the chassis had to be sand blasted painted and sealed... good greif what!!!! anyway it turns out that there is "some" but not life threatening rust at the base of the pillar, inside the recess where the bolt for the body mount is... there is a small deggree of rust that needs attention... but it does need attention. I have looked all over the place .. US websites in vain to find someone who knows the best wat to go about fixing this problem so I can get my vette on the road again... question : does anybody know how to do it, or know any literature that covers this process/procedure... replacment pillars etc etc
