A friend of mine ordered a new black 78 corvette with oyster interior, the seats, door panels, steering wheel and trim were all in oyster color but the carpert in his car came with the carpet used in the pace cars for 78. My quess that they were running short at his car's build date production and they slip/used a 78 silver pace car rug. He still has this corvette as of this day.
