Be careful with putting a high rise intake on that ride. I have a 1980 vette and found a high rise, such as the Edelbrock air gap intake, will not fit under the stock hood unless you use a fuel injection system. I have found the Edelbrock Torker II intake will fit and is rated up to @ 420 hp. To acheive this horsepower, the camshaft, piston, and cylinder heads all have to be upgraded. I'm looking at $3,000 just to upgrade the motor. I would seriously look into matching the intake, cylinder heads, and cam shaft for max output. Just throwing the intake and double pumper may be a waste of money.
