I have an L-82, 1979, Vette that I inherited from my father. This car has 19,000 + actual miles, and is all original except for the altenator. Since I like horse power, I am thinking of pulling the origional engine and have the tranny built at a local shop, and installing a crate motor @450 H.P. However, I can't find an answer as to whether the original motor is a 4 or 2 bolt main. If a 4 bolt, I might just build that engine. It is in storage, a couple of hundred miles from here, so I can't look up the engine number, or pull the oil pan to check it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim
