All my kvetching about not enough rain makes it
hard to believe, but the Eastern Pacific has actually had a pretty active hurricane season.
It just didn't affect us very much. Here's a link to the data:

As you can see, most storms stayed way offshore
and swung far to the west before finally coming up the coast. Interesting, but annoying too.
