Hi Ron,
I'm a descendant of Greenberry Landers/Landreth. Somewhere along the way my grandfathers started using Landers all the time. I've heard a couple of different stories about how Greenberry died. One, the neighbors thought he was a deserter and shot him even though the war had ended.
The other that he was a Quaker and was hiding slaves and his neighbors shot him
I'm just wondering what info you have. I live only about 17 miles from where he is supposed to be buried but I haven't found the grave yet.
