Yes, currently the majority of Americans are in favor of the death penalty, but we also expect
our government representatives in our State and Federal judicial bodies to make sure that they check and double check that they have charged the correct person to be executed or imprisoned for decades.
Our country really needs to begin to revamp certain aspects of our criminal courts that are not affording proper justice for all Americans. If the outrageous figures of an estimated 100,000 innocent American citizens being falsely imprisoned in the USA is not enough of sad reality for all of us who have a strong faith in God to be irate over, then we might one day in our countries near future expect our US prisons to also begin to resemble those currently in other world locations that we all revile ?
If our US Congress does not care enough to help rescue middle class or working poor Americans
with the proper ability to afford lawyers even when they are on death row, then the sky is the limit for our future when it comes to injustices?
Who knows, maybe one day water-boarding our fellow American citizens in our local jails and prisons to find out who the guilty criminals are
will be our next rule of law ?
