Hello Hippie and welcome to the board...
First, I would recommend that you do a search on this board regarding the newer Jakks Pacific Laser Challenge P.R.O. In comes in two flavors, a hand blaster and a rifle version which is basically the hand blaster with a barrel extension and a shoulder stock, both of which really serve no function and only changes the look and not the function. The scope is totally useless and it doesn't seem to have any natural built in sights without the scope, which means having to adapt a red-dot scope to it. The rail system is huge which means finding a suitable sight or an adapter a task onto itself.
Although the JP LC PRO has some nice features as first appearance, it's performance takes a nose dive almost immediately. Personally I would recommend you pass on the JP LC PRO.
Original WOW has a decent range in strong sunlight and can easily be found on eBay. However remember that the equipment is about 20 years old. Personally I use Electronic Survivor Shot which is WOW compatible, and have only had minor problems with them.
I may be mistaken, but I remember another poster asking Hasbro directly when they were planning to market the LTX in England and other European markets, and he got no straight answer. This means you may waiting for a long time. However David Roman, a frequent contributor to this board, runs a lazer tag related business. He has set up a link for people that were looking to pre-order the LTX. He has shipped on an international level and he is a fair-minded business person that shares our zeal. I have put his link below.
Best of luck and again, welcome!
