I believe it was theorized that they might work together, but not tested or proven.
Also note that there is a new Halo set, one with two pitols and sensors that doesn't have all the fancy lights and buttons and stuff as the more expensive gear. It's obviously meant to be played with, but it still uses the same sensors which regen and respawn with no life counter at all, which greatly diminishes its usefulness in any kind of laser tag game other than a neverending shoot-em-up.
