That's also why I don't play at night. You just can't see as clearly and make the right decisions as quickly as in the daylight. Not to mention the lights don't give you away during the day. ;-)
As for the hosting, 2TMS and CUST(om) are two different games. CUST is just free for all. The process would be like this:
1) turn on tagger and choose "HOST"
2) Choose game type. Anything with 2 or 3 in the code is a 2 or 3 team game.
3) press ok to choose the game, then choose all your game settings.
4) after you set the number of tags, it's waiting for players to join. line them up, youngest to oldest (or vice versa if you want), and help each one. It will help to enforce silence during this time, so that you can hear the sounds the LTX makes during joining. Again, the LTX must aim at the host dome while joining
5) Turn on the joining LTX to the selected team, or solo for the host to assign team. Wait for the SECOND time is says the team, or if on Solo mode, wait for it to say 'Any team'.
6) Pull the trigger and wait while maintaining aim with the host's dome. Once you hear the "ka-ching" noise from both taggers, the LTX will show team and player LED indicators: 1/2/3 LEDs on the Strength side for team, and solid/blinking LEDs on Ammo side for player ID. At that point, the player is joined, and can step aside and wait.
7) repeat steps 5 and 6 for all players.
8) when everyone is joined, you can let the host automatically start 60 seconds after the last player joined, or start early by pressing 2ndF and OK at the same time. All players should surround or go past the host and ensure their tagger is making the countdown noise, and flashing more and more LEDs on the ammo side.
8) when it says "Good luck" start playing
9) when a player is out, they should NOT NOT NOT turn off their tagger! Just hold it, or set it down, but remember who's is who's.
10) when the game is over, everyone should surround you while aiming at your (the host's) dome. The host will gather each player's data individually. Watch the screen. If you see it ask for the same player more than once or twice, identify the player and ensure accurate aim, even get closer. All LTX taggers will show team and player ID on the str. and ammo. LEDs during the debrief.
11) Once all the players are debriefed, each one can hold the trigger to see their personal rank. Add the LEDs up. 10 for each LED shown in Strength, 1 for each blinking LED on ammo, and 2 for each solid LED on ammo.
12) Team rank can be seen by holding the Shield button. Shown with solid/blinking LEDs on the ammo side.
Definitely test the process with one or two willing players BEFORE the big game.
