This site has been set up by a fan, for fans of the activity known as home style "lazertag" (non-commericial arena). It's purpose is to highlight players, games, add-ons, modifications, etc., regardless of the system that they use, for the benefit of other fans.
Please try to keep all messages ON TOPIC, and understand that not only will messages that are offensive be deleted, but posters may be banned from the board as well.

Good question. Hopefully this is a good answer!

The red dome isn't really even a dome. It's more of an elipse and wouldn't fit the TSOP48XX under there. The Dome allows plenty of space for the sensor to kind of stick out of the vest. It makes the sensor much easier to hit from a wider range of angles than the original sensor setup had. I'm actually working on cutting out the middle portion of the original V2 Red Cover so that I can glue down the clear dome to it.
