Hello All,
Although I still think the best place to put an ad for anything is on the various post boards such as this fine board - I wanted to create a central location for people to post information when it pertains to buying, selling, or trading. I've been looking for a system that is advanced enough to handle things like Paypal buttons, and extra fields and yet simple to use. Although I'm still tweaking things here and there the classifieds are up and running. If you see something weird or non-functional on them - please let me know.
Anyways, the system is set up for ads for any tag sport including : Laser Tag, Paintball, Airsoft, Nerf, Rubber Band, & Water Gun.
There are also categories for:
Tactical Gear - anything to get tactical including scopes, camo, flashlights, etc...
Game Enhancers - mainly used for anything for those who like doing simulation or LARP type games. Includes things like costumes, props, scenario plans, fake bombs, etc - but can also be a place to sell things like team ID bandannas, sound systems, megaphones, or anything else that can be used to make running games more fun or easier to organize.
Finally there are the 4 oddball Categories:
Garage Sale - You can put just about anything in here. Its just a place to sell stuff so you can get money to buy other stuff. If you don't know what category to put something in, then it most likely goes here.
Lookin For... - Have you ever needed a part, a particular gun, some information, a schematic, or wanted to find an old friend, or see if there was a group to play with in a certain area or remembered there was a group of people called ???? that lived in your old town and wanted to see if you can find them - well then this is your category.
Business Ads - whether you are a big company like BFS, or a small operation like 1SLT, or have a Laser Tag Arena, or repair paintball guns, or host a great information service like this posting board - if you have any type of business/service you'd like to advertise - put the ad here.
Clubs & Players - This is a place where clubs and individuals can place ads to let everyone else know they exist! Its also a place to post events and challenges.
As time goes on, we may expand or particion these categories to suit the needs of the community - but I figure this is a good start.
