Hi everyone,
seems that a lot of people are lurking and not posting messages so let me start the ball rolling.
About a week ago, I saw this mod on LTTO yahoo in which a guy fixed a G36 airsoft butt onto a LTX phoenix. Needless to say, a lot of friends and myself were impressed as with the repaint, the whole LTX became more Colonial marines Pulse rifle than commonly bought toy from Toy R US.
That prompted our own search for worthy toy guns body that we can do a transplant. As some of you all will know, I am from Singapore, which is notorious for banning a lot of things, airsoft is one of them. Sadly, whatever plastic toy guns we managed to find turned out to be too brittle and weak. thus our attention turned to NERF. And I went ahead and bought a Longshot.
I was quite disappointed with it. As a toy, it was pretty cool, but after being spoilt rotten by LTTO and LTX, I much prefer the long ranges of engagement, shields and other must have fun elements. So I intend to transplant a deleux into the longshot body, as a lot of us feel that the only thing stopping a lot of people from taking up Lazer tag is the outlook of the taggers.
Does anyone have any experience with taking apart a deleux and putting it into some other shell? I would have liked to cannibalised a TMB, but they are super rare now and we dun have a lot. With Deleux, at least I am saving a "not so good" tagger that cannot be aimed using the conventional way and with the megashot and manual reload, it could prove to be the balance needed when going against TMB and LTX, as I would not want to create a "GOD gun"
Any suggestions, comments?
