Yup u inspired me with your various projects.
As a start, I am thinking of using just the main part (the part that accepts the magazine), that will give me a nice beefy casing, and I intend to fill part of that space with some liquid cement and fishing weight (cos I happened to be one of oldest in my club and everyone was complaining that with my experiences and 'wisdom' I should be having a more inferior tagger, so with additional weight, hopefully it will shut some of them up and with the extra weight, no one else will be willing to use it =p)
I will most probably stick to just iron sights, or perhaps a red dot as I am more of a in your face player, so most probably I will still fix up a weaver rail so that I can swap scopes if need be, but the deleux will most probably give me a range of 60 to 80 m (180 to 240 ft), I dun think its suitable to use as a sniper.
The most problematic part will be that most of the buttons actually come together on a panel, so I will have to cut sway some small portion of the casing, how would you suggest that I do that? Use a hack saw, or a soldering iron to burn away a portion?
I will most probably keep the cocking mechanism as the sound and motion it makes is pretty cool. Its a toss up between using the sliding motion to activate the reload (which is a small push button), or to use the clip (placing the push button at the top so that I will have to slap the magazine to reload). As due to the way LTTO is built, I will have to put the batteries inside the casing, which will make changing batteries a pain in the arse. And this will also mean that I have to cut another battery door compartment out.
How did you fix your lens in? Did you use a new lens? For myself, I was thinking of using the existing lenses, which means again, I will have to cut sumthing up.
Sorry for the long post, as I was half palnning and half replying to you.
Cheers.
