I know I usually have a ton of pictures from games, but I think I have a good enough reason as to why we only have Team Photos. Monday, May 25th, 2009 now marks the OLCA's largest turnout EVER. I'm not sure how it happened, as I didn't expect a large turnout on Memorial Day, but apparently, we decided to remember our Fallen and honor them with our own Battles.
From the picture and knowing that Nick Sondag was taking it, Grant left after the first game (this shot was taken before the second game) and Stephanie Davis showed up for Game 3,we had a total of 37 players.

The OLCA played 3 games with it's biggest turnout yet. To summarize, Game 1 was won by the offense in a blitzkreig attack down both sides, wiping out the defense as they moved through and eventually meeting back up at the south of the park to mop up some remnants. Game 2 was won by the defense with tight fortified positions at the south of the park and hit-and-run tactics set up along the eastern walk. Game 3 was a TRUE tie, as we exceeded the time limit and were forced to stop, only to find out that there were exactly 4 people left on each side.
We had to resort to using some Front sensors only since we ran out of front and back sets. In the coming days, I should be recieving a shipment of 6 more front and back sensors that'll help us even more ensure that everybody has a front and back sensor as long as we don't exceed the numbers we can support. I still had gear leftover, but only basic vests and beeper pistols, much to the dismay of late-comers.
It was a great couple of games, but it was also an eyeopener to the Founders and Veterans, as organizing such a large group was chaotic. We'll definetly have to work on how we handle such large groups.
