the TMB Mod was mis-understood!!! that's all
Still useful for older LC vest... In order to hit newer gear, you'll require an IR signature that is the proper length (still not sure but it is somewhere between 150 and 185ms).
(requiring more than cutting a wire), one could make custom hardware and re-route the IR-LED to a custom board that drives it as desired.
It won't be a simple mod, but a do-able one.
All I needed was the info (last night) of the LTTO beacon producing LC hit and the fact LTX (unmodded) hits V1/V2 stuff to put the pieces together... and understanding the core of the basic LC tag "signature" (with still need to nail down the length... 150-185ms)
I didn't mean to burst any bubble, just trying to de-mystify the confusion (mis-understanding).
