With all we've observed tonight, there's only one part of this project I have no experience/knowledge of whether it's even possible to do. During our Night Range Testing with this gun, we ran into problems with the LTX being so darned bright and flashy that it killed the nightvision/overall vision of the user. So naturally one of the things I want to do is lessen the brightness on the main displays for ammo and life while probably getting rid of the light in the hammer and possibly the reload feature.
The stuff I can't do and would like to see if it can be done is this:
We know that the under-barrel rail on the basic LTX tagger accepts modifications like the Shotblast and the Video Game Module. I'm wondering if we can program some kind of chip to modify the tagger overall to fire a true LC signal that could be recognized by normal LC gear. Ideally, it would also modify the Shot Blast that the LTX would recognize to be the Max Blast signal from Laser Challenge.
Like I said, I can handle the basic mods for the features of the lights and such. What I can't do/need to know if it's even possible, is the second part I just outlined.
Your comments, help, and explanations are valuable to me and this project's development.
