Don't bother. I just tested this on my LC Xtreme Target set (the only LC I have, btw). You only need one LTTO to host, one LTX to join, and then the LC you want to test on. You can turn off/on the LTX each time you join so that you end up at the right player ID.
Anyway, I THOUGHT it was working, but when the LC wasn't getting tagged out, I realized that the sounds were foreign to me, so I got the other LC gun and tested it. Turned out the LTX (as Team 3 player 8) was RESETTING the LC gun. I managed to get it to take ONE tag, but all the other shots were resets.
