We would love to help you out as much as we can, as I think detailing the compatability overall can not only help CTDYNE, but Laser Tagging in general. For the moment, I can tell you what I know about Hasbro Lazer Tag products capabilities that we have seen with our Gear, including V2 systems that I understand you exclusively use.
I'm not sure how detailed our information can get though, since we only own a LTTO Tag Master Blaster and a set of Phoenix LTX weapons. I would like to assume that the LTTO Drone and Deluxe would behave the same.
LTTO Tag Master Blaster Details
In our observations of this weapon against LC weapons, the only modification needed was to stop the Beacon that the dome of the TMB sends out. This beacon registers as the Laser Challenge "Hit" signal, so a player with a Laser Challenge vest on that is trying to weild the TMB is basically committing suicide, taking continuous hits from the Beacon. We managed to turn off this beacon by cutting a wire and putting a toggle on it so that the weapon could still function with other LTTO systems. The TMB's dome does not register any LC signals, but both the rifle's shots and the missile can land hits on Laser Challenge Team Force and Laser Challenge V2. However, we also use Radar Extreme for vests and we have learned that Hasbro Lazer Tag products in general cannot land a single hit on these vests. The reason you always see the missile in the TMB during our games is, quite honestly, because he almost never uses it except in extreme circumstances. Don't ask me why, as I would be whoring the hell out of that feature if I had it on my gun!
Compatability Chart Construction
I'd be happy to explore and make a compatability chart between Hasbro Lazer Tag products and Toymaxx/Jakks Pacific Laser Challenge. I would have to get together with my fellow OLCA Veterans to complete it. The OLCA only uses Laser Challenge Team Force, Laser Challenge V2, and Laser Challenge Radar Extreme vests because they are the only vests in the LC lineage that support back vests. We do, however, still have some Jakks Pacific stuff that we could also test on. For instance, last night I was working with a fellow veteran and we learned that the Jakks Pacific Laser Challenge Communicator vest (shares the same soundboard/features as Radar Extreme) took hits from an LTX Phoenix that was set on Team 3. So we've got some more exploring between all the different LC systems and the limited supply of Hasbro Lazer Tag weapons we have.
I Hope this helps both you and the Laser Tagging community for now. If you could generate a Chart that you'd like to see the testing results of, we'd be happy to fill in the blanks and continue to explore the compatability between Laser Challenge and Lazer Tag brands.
