None of the Taggers that we have for Hasbro Lazer Tag have ever reset a V2 target. Again, we only own a TMB and a LTX to test this with. I can only assume the same is said for the Drone and Deluxe.
As in, Shields still hold up against Hasbro stuff? Yes, as I've yet to see anything ever "break through" a LC shield. I think the shield function in general completely turns off the sensor, as even reset signals won't get through on a vest that has it's sheilds up.
Our general range tests have still been unable to find the true range on a Firestorm lens, but we still consider it to be the best in range when it comes to LC. The TMB is the closest thing next to it from what we've seen. The LTX (at night) seemed to have a comprable range to a standard V2 tagger, along with the Ultrawide. So in order, Firestorm in first, TMB in second, and LTX, Ultrawide, and V2 Tagger for third. I can attempt to gather more accurate results for these if you'd like.
Although the Shotblast function on the LTX doesn't land more than one hit on V2 vests, it's spread is significant enough that it's extremely effective in close range combat. In our in-game Combat Tests, the player using the LTX reported great success in using this fuction to clear out areas at close range. We tested the range of thsi function to be around 20-25 ft of range with about a 8 ft maximum width.
So in short, if all you've got is V2 vests, we can at least guarentee success with the TMB, the TMB Missile, the LTX, and the LTX Shotgun blast. The only problem you might run into with the LTX are it's bright lights if you do night matches. We found rangetesting at night with the LTX to be nearly impossible because of the bright lights shining in your face inhibiting your ability to see very far at all, let alone, use the Ironsights on it.
Keep those questions coming! If you've got testing you'd like to see done, we'd love to gather results for you. Keep in mind our limited Hasbro Laser Tag collection, but I assume whatever results we gain with the TMB (as far as compatabilty, obviously not with range) would be identical to those on the Deluxe and Drone.
