Here's my latest project, an M249. I used Builty's (from Fragtag.com.au)very useful plans and pics to create this tagger and Builty was kind enough to help me out with measurements and other queries.
This project started as a joke, but I soon decided that I would build it as I had most of the materials already in the shed. It was quite a fun build, using aluminium again was great - it had been a while. It's so nice having all that room inside, will make the electronics side a breeze (none are fitted yet).
The stock was interesting, it requires some free hand shaping which I havn't done much of before. I'm using a 40mm lens mounted in the front and the bipod from one of the sniper rifles, it needs to be painted black. Still needs a bit of work, needs a red dot on top, trigger guard, electronics and the plastic ammo box.
