Thanks. That game was a really odd one for us. More than half of the founding veteran members were unable to attend. My right-hand-man since the get-go, Brandon (some of you know him as Eleri) and his brother Jeff were both out of town. One of our vets famous for dual wielding V2 Taggers also skipped out on us to write a paper for a summer class. Another veteran, and wielder of the mighty V2 Firefly, was also out of town.
Additionally, next week I will be out of town, so even when most of them are back, I won't be there (I leave the gear with Brandon on days I can't make it). We've had an unusual year for attendance as far as our veterans-to-newbies count goes. Many of our veterans and founders have had more scheduling issues. However, in their absence, we've seen a spike in faithful attendance by some newer players to this season, including a surprisingly large group of Elementary/Middle schoolers. Some of the kids have actually PLANNED SLEEPOVERS around our weekly games, inviting friends over for the evening, playing laser tag, and then retreating to their homes to "geek out" about the experience.
It's just been an odd season, but a busy one nonetheless. I'll return to action with them on July 20th and by then, most of our veterans are out of the woods for their out-of-the-ordinary summer schedules. The end of the season is drawing near for us too, so we're making the most of what we've got left.
Thanks, John, for always posting. Greg has implanted the thought that people like pictures into my head, so I kind of go out of my way to get them of our events. Even though I see plenty of views, it's always nice to at least hear some input on them.
I encourage the rest of you, even if it's a "man that looks like fun" comment, to post. Makes the trouble it is to take all these a little more worthwhile!
