Posted by Bazookafied We have, however, seen a drop in attendance for the past few games. With the frequent "questionable weather", my weeklong absence, a goof-up on Facebook of mine, and the fact that kids are starting up school activities again (Football practice, Band Camp, blah blah blah), our games attendance has shrunk. Now, I'm usually a big supporter of active groups and growing your group and spreading the word. It's part of the reason I try so hard to be active during the summer months online. But I've got to admit, I prefer the smaller attendance games. Less stress on me for gear and such, easier to make teams, you generally get less n00bs and don't have to explain things in-game, teams are easier to keep track of, and yeah, tactics change with that too. When the OLCA first started out, our veterans had some tactics nailed down pretty well. 4 Seasons Later, with attendance changes and such, their tactics had to change with that. But with the last few games being a tad smaller, I've seen an interesting mix of the two "era"s of tactics I've seen around here. It's been neat seeing both those types meld together to make for some unpredictable moves in a predictable park. I mean, let's face it, there are only so many tactics you can use in a park you've been playing in for the past 4 years!

Actually the past couple weeks for laser tag, we've had shaky weather conditions. Like I said, July 27th's game got cancelled midway through our game due to rain. We played a Game and a half, with me sitting out the first game to take pictures, and during the second game, I could've probably brought our team back from the deficiet we were facing but the Rain didn't give me enough time to hunt and kill the remaining players on the other team.
This season, we've had decent luck up until the past month or so. We've still been able to get games in, but just about every Monday evening this past month has had some kind of precipitation in the forecast. It's quite the pain in the rear to be constantly checking those ever-changing forecasts every hour so that I can make a good judgement call whether to have the game or not. At least tonight's weather doesn't look AS bad, but I suspect we could get the last game or two of the night rained out.
