It's a 190mm X 100mm X 40mm plastic enlosure in dark grey ABS.

The end panels are easy to work with for all the chassis mount sockets.
The map pocket thingy was flat with a smaller torch pocket on the side. Un unpicked the bits I didn't need and tried fitting the box inside - a perfect fit! Something you could try is adding molle straps directly to the box with press studs at the bottom? It might work, but it shouldn't be too hard to find some sort of ready made attachment the right size.
