Hargraves Asylum for the Criminally Insane
They say a lot of things. They say the bars are for our safety. They say the pills are good for us. They say I killed a man.
They also say it started in the Morgue.
Ivey, the goth who set her boyfriend on fire, said she heard two of the orderlies talking about power outtages in the West Wing. She said they tried to get security on their radios, but it was just static. She said they left to check it out and haven't been back. But just because the Morgue is in the West Wing, it doesn't mean that's the source. Ivey is just looking for attention.
Toby, the scrawney guy who beat a man to death in Wal-Mart, said he saw one of the visitors attack and kill one of the stray dogs the doctors don't know we feed. He said he saw the visitor eat the dog right there, raw and bloody. He said two orderlies came out of the West Wing basement and fought over the dog scraps. The Morgue is in the basement. But Toby has always been a liar, so why should we believe him now?
Curley, the war vet with the missing fingers, said he saw a police car when he slipped out to smoke the cigarettes his daughter smuggled in for him. He said he heard a gunshot from the North Wing, and saw Doctor Carpenter walk out chewing on a hand. Doctor Carpenter is the resident Medical Examiner. He works in the Morgue. But Curley wore a necklace of ears in Vietnam. He was probably having another flashback.
Trevor told me to believe them. He said me and him should get out before something happens. Before we end up like the dog or the cop. But we're locked in. That's the point of us being here. I told Trevor there was no where to go even if we did escape, but he's persistent. I don't blame him. He has a vested interest in getting me out since he hides in my skin.
We're starting to organize, though. Ivey is trying to educate us about the different kinds of demons that could be stalking the halls, and Curley is working out a plan to get to Fort Redfield. We started looking for weapons, but all we could find is a mop handle, and Toby won't let go of it. Maybe we can get to the Staff Lounge and find something useful in the lockers? Maybe we can get to the police car and get some real weapons?
Maybe this is just that pill Nurse Ratchet gave me.
I'm going to take a nap.
