Yeah, it'll be a very cool blaster even without the barrel. But the stock is why it's so very shiny. (so MANY toys lack a decent stock)

This was on the new NERF brochure. And also appeared in the new NERF video game (slightly modified from the old game).

The high rez picture is from NERF game website. But you can see it's the same gun that scheduled for 2010 release.
