Zook,
I am trying to design all the main components of the ECM as removable sub-assemblies. I want to be able to easily disassemble this tagger during the build up phase. This design will also aid in repairs and rework once this tagger is complete.
As you can see in the image the lens assembly does indeed slide into the housing. It is held in place by six aluminum 4-40 socket head cap screws. The electrical connector easily plugs into the wiring harness. It only takes minutes to remove/replace the lens assembly.
The V2 board is mounted using the same concept in the modified magazine. It is now also an easily removable sub-assembly. It is held in place by four screws. The wires are all in a bundle that can be easily connected. I will share images of this assembly next.
