The LTS Lens is exactly the same size as the V2 lens in diameter, but has a different magnification. A V2 lens would work just fine in this weapon, so if you have built lens arrangements for a V2 Pistol lens before with a TSAL 6100 that gets good performance, I could just go with that. Either that or we could figure out what to do with this LTS arrangement.
I've taken measurements of the space needed and the dimensions of the LC Cone and the original back piece of this kit. Here they are.
Obviously wires can be moved around, but basically what I'm looking at is just under 3 inches of space to work with. The original Lens Arrangement (with the plastic cone and LED) can fit inside it just fine. The unmodified original part takes up less space, but, as you can see from the previous pictures, doesn't have a wide opening for the light if we were to use it as-is. Either way, I think I'm going to have to remove that long back portion of the original piece. The question is now do I want to install the plastic cone and go with the ~800 ft range I've been getting or do I want to try to fabricate something. A task I have yet to undertake. Then again, this entire weapon is one big task I have yet to undertake, and it's still working.
