So I decided to go with the MilesTag "Micro" (uMT), regardless of the lack of knowledge about this piece. I've been told that it should work for what I want it to do.
The uMT board will hopefully be the heart of the Pulse Rifle's true "Multi-Use" role. With the Airsoft portion and the Laser Challenge portion, it's only able to be used for two systems. By upgrading to the uMT board, not only will it be able to be programmed for different settings for firing, ammo, range, and sound effects, but will (hopefully) be able to be programmed for use with multiple different laser tag systems. Compatability with MilesTag equipment is a no-brainer, but I'd like to figure out other ways to get the PR to work with other systems.
Anyone with information or suggestions related to this would be extremely helpful. I ordered the uMT over the weekend, so having an idea of what to do before it gets here would help expidite the work needed to be carried out.
