This site has been set up by a fan, for fans of the activity known as home style "lazertag" (non-commericial arena). It's purpose is to highlight players, games, add-ons, modifications, etc., regardless of the system that they use, for the benefit of other fans.

Urban places to play?

Hey all,

I'm on the East Coast (Raleigh, NC) and I'm having a lot of trouble finding a place to play. I'm looking more for an urban setting and more close/mid quarters combat - possibly areas with one or more "bases" for CTF and base defense games. I've tried the forested park areas and am not a fan of them. I've scoped out 20+ parks and nothing really 'clicks'. The closest I've gotten is a college campus here has a few good areas, but we have to play at night and the fluorescent lights really mess with the LTTO/LTX guns.

I guess I'm picky because I'm looking for more arena style, or medium range scenario/mission games with more defined boundaries. I'm trying to setup games that last 10, 15 minutes so everyone can have a good time and we don't have to find the snipers who go waaaay out of bounds and hide somewhere. I've even tried to ask malls around here if they'd let us in after hours, but that hasn't worked, haha.

Besides abandoned forts and park areas, are there any good ideas for places to look for? I think I'm being too difficult here, but I need some inspiration to get the laser tag around here rolling again.
