As I posted in the LTTO group:
"Whether or not we can join an LTTO-Hosted game without a smart phone attached is something we're still working on -- it actually was working in a development version of the code but whether or not we can come up with a clean user interface to do it in the final product remains to be seen."
Please don't let that be a pre-excuse for LTTO joining being gone without a smart device. That would really destroy it for most of us.  Clunky is better than non-existent.
