For those who might find this post in hopes of finding a solution to the black screen of death when you load the software (which is caused because the video is too large at 1080p for your system to handle for one reason or another), I had to follow your steps a bit differently perhaps because of the latest software update:
Basically load that same file in Program Files:
\Ubisoft\BattleTag\Data\Script\Lua\Classes\
File name: UTGame.State.Video.lua
in notepad or wordpad and find all instances of "base:video/ubisoft.avi" replace with "". I think it occurred three times. I did not find any audio file that you mentioned but it wasn't necessary. The software now boots.
