What I had talked to Mike about doing was using a transistor and inductor as a transimpedence filter (Similar to circuit in the old Tiger LT) in the headset to give it about a 10 db gain, so that the loss from adding the headset is cancelled. Parts cost should be around 10 dollars per headset for diodes, LEDs and coneectors, etc. . . One of the hassels is deciding how to mount them. Casting them in a resin dome to protect the circuit seems easiest. I built a plaster mold, but I forgot how much I hate demolding from plaster (I should have just used the silicone - the ease of getting the blasted thing out of the mold is so worth the cost. . .) -Andy in Indy
