    An interesting day.
    1) it rained the WHOLE TIME. No breaks, and real rain, not PNW sprinkles. We didn't even get a full game in at the park before deciding to pack it up.
    2) we didn't just go home, though. Nope. The Lakewood Boys had a contingency plan. We ended up playing at a local church in their gymnasium. Headband was particularly close to the guy that runs the place. ;-)
    3) we used tables of various kinds all propped up in different places around the gym, turning the place into a makeshift indoor lazer tag arena.
    4) at one point, they even set up some music and a strobe light. Unfortunately, the strobe wasn't consistent, so made it impossible to play in. We changed to dim lighting instead. With a strobe that didn't stop every couple seconds forcing your eyes to dialate just to get blasted by more strobing a second later, it would have been much cooler... at least for this old man. ;-)
    5) we played some interesting games. Some people kept forgetting that they were tagged out and shouldn't be launching missile (Headband ;-). All in all it was good.
    6) they brought a video camera, and we had a lot of fun doing crazy things at and for the camera, which will later be edited into a cool LTTO music video of some kind, which I can't wait to see.
    7) we got some good (simple, but good) pizza at a local take out place that had a few chairs and a couple tables to sit at, and had more fun than the little Asian lady that was working there would have preferred us to have. ;-)

I look forward to a game or few down there next summer, though. What I saw of that park looked like it would be all kinds of fun for tagging in. Though given the size and public usage of the park, I'm thinking notifying the police of a game in advance would be a good idea. ;-)
