Our beginnings are somewhat similar. I first became aware of laser tag when I saw an article in my old college days of what would a few years later become PHOTON (arena style). When a center opened up near me (well actually, over an hour away), I tried it and was hooked.

My introduction to home based tag was when Photon was introduced by Entech. Soon after I got my first WOW Lazer Tag set. I remember taking back the first two LT sets that I brought as they didn't work.

When ESS came around, I wasn't interested in it as I had no one to play with. In fact, I sold off all my home based tag gear. Then Laser Tag arenas started popping up all over and I was hooked again, doing weekly games.

Shortly thereafter Laser Challenge came on the scene and I moved to that style but lost interest as it was so limited. I gravitated back to ESS and took Peter Montgomery's advice of buying ten of everything (well I brought more).

Although I know have 4 LTTO Deluxes, 2 Drones, and 2 TMB's (all with acc. packs), I still prefer ESS ONLY because of the head mounted sensor. Although it is still easy to cheat with a head mounted sensor, it is way too easy to lose a game in LTTO because a sensor was blocked by an open opponent.

Now at the age of 46, I feel like a little kid again, waiting in anticipation to see what is next on the tagging horizon.
