I guess it really goes all the way back to the school playground in Wales, where we played touch tag, since then it has just become more technical. We progressed onto playing tag with Burdock http://www.wildmanstevebrill.com/Plants.Folder/Burdock.html long before Velcro was invented, and progressed through “Real Mans Tag” i.e. Rugby http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/scrumv onto outdoor laser tag and our TagParty business. Over the years we have played indoor arena laser tag, mainly at birthday parties for our two boys and their friends, and out door tag with Sega Lock-0n gear http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Station/5487/lasertag/lockongear.html . The boys played some paintball and airsoft too, but I had enough pain playing rugby to last me a lifetime. As we looked for a small business opportunity, to employ the boys through the summers, we developed the idea of TagParty. The economics of using commercial laser tag equipment was daunting, but then one day Eudene came across a review of the LTTO gear. Some quick research, including this message board and sites like Greg’s http://www.ggaub.com/ltag , Dave’s http://www.1sourcelasertag.com , and http://www.fuzzycouch.com/lazertag got us off to Toys-R-Us to pick up 4 Deluxe LTTO for our own evaluation. And to almost steal an advertising catch phrase: We were so impressed we started our company TagParty http://www.tagparty.net By the time we were ready to launch TagParty the IRT-X2 Drone was available and we standardized on that model, with some minor mods http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/LazerTagTeamOps/links/Mods_001111092778 and accessory pack. Lately we have added the TMB to our arsenal, and continue to look for ways to improve the laser tag experience. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you in the laser tag community for your unselfish help and support. I hope my contributions to the communitty go a small way towards showing my appreciation. To further show our appreciation, TagParty would like to sponsor a club, with free use of our equipment, in our local area (actually this is a thinly disguised and selfish attempt to actually play some laser tag rather than just organize games). If you are interested just drop me an email; partytagger@yah00.c0m (replace the Zero’s with “o”). Location shown as TagParty on the Frappr locator map http://www.frappr.com/lazertag
