Thanks Greg! We'd love to get you in on a game or two there! As for the park, it's unusually lush this year. As many of you know, the Midwest, especially Nebraska and Iowa, has been getting hammered with rainstorms this summer. Because of this, the park has many "overgrown" areas that make the cover in some places very VERY fun! Also, with the grass mowed, it adds such a contrast to the areas that aren't mowed, giving the park some well needed variation. This park has strengths and weaknesses for every kind of player, which helps level the playing field. Those with long range weapons, like the Firestorm and other custom guns, have some nice sniper posts around the park, but not without sacrifice. Every one of our "ideal sniper spots" has some way to be ambushed or flanked. This gives our shorter ranged players an opportunity to be sneaky and use the cover to their advantage. I suppose the other advantage that Greg pointed out is our age group of people who show up. We attract a High School/College age group that tend to be easy on the eyes.
