John, I don't remember what the infrared wavelength is that is used for ether V-2 or LTTO systems. If it is close enough to work, may I suggest trying to use the complete optic assembly from the Firestorm. This way the whole focal length/IR LED/lens alignment issue is already taken care of. Unless there is not room inside your project for the rather long optic tube from the firestorm. The portion of the Firestorm that is forward of the lens can be trimmed or omitted if necessary. As I understand it, the reason for the rather long "Tube" portion forward of the lens was to help eliminate some of the self hit issue associated with V-2 gear. Since that is a non issue with LTTO gear you really don't need this part of the lens assembly for a LTTO based project. Mike Yates
