My dog normally has black nails. they got too long and when I took them to be clipped I noticed what looked like a second nail growing in under the original one. The tech said sometimes new ones would grow in and the old ones would fall off. since then all of her back nails and some of her front nails have fallen off and new ones have grown in. The new ones are not black. They look greyish and do not look healthy. She will not let me near the new ones. They seem to be sensitive.
