does the dog squeak when it is barking? or squeak just as it is sitting there breathing? a condition called stridor, where there is a blockage in the airway of some kind. this is a serious problem that would probably need to be corrected surgically. is there any way you can have the dog seen by a vet? if you are just referring to a squeaky bark, i still think it should be examined-a squeak is caused by a restriction in the airway. think about a child having an asthma attack, they squeak because air is whistling through a very small opening. although, if it is just the bark i would be less suspicious of an airway problem. maybe the dog just has a funny bark? either way, for your sake and the dogs best to get it evaluated before the dog comes home so that you don`t run into an unexpected and potentially expensive and fatal problem.
