Wheaten Scabs and skin issues

My wheaten has developed scabs all over. He plays regularly at the dog park. Are skin problems common to this breed or is this something that could be from rough play?
Also, does anyone know whether wheatens are susceptible to foot infections/fungus? My wheaten keeps getting infections between his paws that are fungus related. What can I do?
